I curve the leaf slightly after I place the names or words. The curve gives the leaf the look of a real leaf shape. The necklace attaches with a twig toggle that inserts through a small hammered circle, similar to a lariat style. The twig was cast from a real branch then finished, sanded and oxidized for a more modern sleek rustic look. The leaf measures around 1 1 4 inches long
